  • More than 4,000 guests served in four days by the 120-strong Mosimann’s team across the Members’ Enclosure, Royal Box and Platinum Jubilee ’70 Club’ areas
  • 1,000 bottles of champagne, 250 bottles of Serana rose and 400 litres of Pimm’s served as guests enjoy a return to events
  • Light dishes of fish-cakes and Caesar salad prove most popular

Mosimann’s inaugural year as appointed caterer to Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Platinum Jubilee Celebration evenings at the event has been hailed a great success.

The catering for the four-day event, which took place between May 12 and 15 in the private grounds of Windsor Castle (the first since 2019), took six months to plan to ensure every detail was considered and prepared for.

Mosimann’s is one of the world’s most prestigious dining clubs, set up in Belgravia, London in 1988 by Chef Anton Mosimann. Now run by his sons, Mark and Philipp Mosimann, the company, which holds a Royal Warrant, also has more than 30-years’ experience in catering events from intimate private dinners through to exclusive occasions such as Royal weddings, the Olympics, Guards Polo and numerous high-end global expos.

The 120-strong on-site Mosimann’s team served more than 1,000 people per day across the Members’ Enclosure, Royal Box and 70-Club.

The most popular dishes on the carefully curated menu were Mosimann’s famous fish-cakes with some 300 dishes served, and their Caesar salad with more than 400 prepared. Clearly pleased to be back out and able to enjoy the exclusive equestrian event, members consumed more than 1,000 bottles of champagne and thanks to the sun making an appearance on most days, some 400 litres of Pimm’s and 250 bottles of Mosimann’s own rose wine label, Serana (named by combining the names of Mark and Philipp Mosimann’s daughters) were poured.

Simon Brooks-Ward, Event Director for Royal Windsor Horse Show and The Platinum Jubilee Celebration, said: “Royal Windsor Horse Show 2022 was a huge success and an incredibly special event. Delivering first class catering to our guests in the Members’ Enclosure, Royal Box and 70-Club was integral to that success and Mosimann’s rose to the brief. Over the four days they demonstrated the expertise they’ve built up over the years particularly in their work as a Royal Warrant Holder, at Guards Polo Club and the other high-profile occasions they have catered. This was the first year we have worked with Mosimann’s and I am looking forward to developing the partnership.”

Mark Mosimann, Managing Director of Mosimann’s, said: “It was six-months in the planning and that meticulous attention to detail made all the difference over the four days of Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. We have loved every minute of it and have served [stats to go in]. Working alongside the organisers has been an absolute pleasure and the feedback we’ve received from the attendees has been fantastic.”
